What are good kidney numbers?

My father recently got his kidney function tests done, and the doctor said some numbers were a bit off. Can someone explain what are considered good kidney numbers to look for on a report? I want to understand it better.

Haan, kidney health checkup to bilkul zaroori hai na. Usually, your eGFR should be above 90, which means your kidneys are filtering perfectly. Serum creatinine levels should be around 0.6 to 1.2 for men, but reports doctor ko zaroor dikhana.

I cannot comment on general medical standards, but in my last health check, my creatinine was 0.8 and the doctor said it was perfectly fine. I just make sure to drink enough water and get my yearly blood tests done to stay safe.

My elders always said that clear, odorless urine is a sign of good health, but modern science is more precise. When I checked with my physician, he said an eGFR value above 90 is excellent and urea should be within 15-40 mg/dL. I trust his guidance completely.

Simple baat hai, if your creatinine is below 1.2 and eGFR is above 90, your kidneys are doing fine. If the numbers are outside this range, stop searching online and go see a nephrologist immediately without wasting time.

A standard renal function test looks at creatinine, BUN, and eGFR. Creatinine should ideally be below 1.2 mg/dL, and BUN should be under 20. If your eGFR is dropping below 60, that is a clear indicator of kidney stress and needs medical attention.
