What antibiotics treat kidney infection?

My mother-in-law has been feeling quite unwell lately with burning during urination and lower back pain. We are going to the doctor tomorrow, but I'm curious what kind of antibiotics are usually used to treat a kidney infection. Just trying to be informed.

While you are taking antibiotics like Cipro or whatever your doctor prescribes to clear that nasty kidney infection, make sure to eat light, gut-friendly foods like curd rice. Strong meds can really mess with your appetite and stomach!

From what I have been researching, antibiotics like Ciprofloxacin, Levofloxacin, and Ceftriaxone are the main ones used for kidney infections. It seems they need to be quite strong to target the bacteria in the urinary tract properly.

Antibiotics like cephalosporins or fluoroquinolones are typically used for kidney infections. However, because antibiotic resistance is a growing concern, it is highly recommended to get a urine culture test and consult your doctor for the precise medication.

I had a severe kidney infection a couple of years ago. The doctor put me on Ciprofloxacin, and it worked well, but you must complete the full course even if the pain stops in two days. Also, drink at least 3 liters of water daily to flush things out.

The standard, affordable antibiotics like Amoxicillin-Clavulanate or Cipro are usually prescribed. The best practical approach is to visit a local clinic, get a quick urine test, and buy the exact generic medicines they prescribe to save on unnecessary costs.

Doctors generally use Ciprofloxacin or Levofloxacin for kidney infections. Having a chronic condition like thyroid has taught me that we should always get proper blood and urine tests done first and follow up with the doctor to ensure everything is completely cleared.

Hey, don't stress too much! Kidney infections are very common and standard antibiotics like Cipro clear them up easily. Just see a doctor, get your pills, and you'll be back to normal in no time.

I'm new to this topic, but I keep reading about Ciprofloxacin being used. Do these antibiotics usually cause a lot of weakness or stomach upset during the course?
