What age to sleep train?

My baby is 4 months old and still wakes up multiple times at night. My friend suggested 'sleep training,' but I'm not sure if he's too young. What's a good age to start sleep training a baby?

We just went through this with our 5-month-old last month. Most pediatricians say between 4 to 6 months is the sweet spot because their natural sleep cycles start maturing then.

Don't rush into it, buddy. Around 5 or 6 months is when they can physically self-soothe, so that's a good time to start gentle habits. Take it easy and listen to your baby's cues.

Applying warm mustard oil on baby's feet and keeping a calm room naturally helps them sleep. However, before starting any strict sleep training routine, please consult your pediatrician first.

From what I have read and discussed, 4 to 6 months is the standard age as their circadian rhythm begins to develop. It is always wise to get a go-ahead from your doctor during the routine checkup.

Every child has their own rhythm of life and peace. Usually, around 6 months they become ready, so approach it with patience and a calm, loving heart.

I tracked my baby's sleep windows using a baby tracker app, and we noticed a stable pattern emerging around the 5th month. That is a great age to introduce consistent sleep cues.

While you plan your baby's sleep training around 4-6 months, make sure you get your maternal health checked too. My thyroid levels went haywire post-delivery and affected my energy, so don't ignore your blood tests.

I totally get it, those sleepless nights can make you feel so exhausted and desperate for a schedule. Most experts recommend starting around 5 months, but do what feels right for your family.
