What age do you get psoriasis?

My cousin recently got diagnosed with psoriasis, and she's only 26. I always thought it was something that affected older people. At what age does psoriasis typically appear?

Psoriasis can show up at any age, but most commonly it starts between 15 to 35. Don't waste time trying to guess the age patterns on the internet. If you have itchy, red patches, book an appointment with a skin doctor over the weekend and get a proper diagnosis.

People on social media will tell you ten different home remedies and age groups for psoriasis. The truth is it can develop even in young kids or late in life around 50-60. Only a qualified dermatologist can verify if it's psoriasis or just eczema, so please visit a clinic.

I got my first patches on my elbows when I was just 19 during my college exams. My doctor told me stress triggers it and it's super common for young adults to get it first. If you are seeing scaly skin, just go get it checked, bro.

I read somewhere it usually starts in early adulthood, but honestly, I keep checking my skin every time I get a dry patch because I worry so much. Please don't stress yourself out reading scary medical blogs. Just visit a doctor to clear your head, it's the best way to stop worrying.

It can pop up anytime, mostly in your 20s or late 50s. Along with whatever ointment the doc gives, focusing on a clean diet and sweating it out really helps manage the flare-ups. At least that is what worked for my gym buddy who has it.
