What age can arthritis begin?

My knees have been hurting quite a bit lately, and my sister said it could be arthritis. I thought that was an old person's disease. At what age can arthritis typically begin?

Don't believe people who say arthritis only happens in old age or can be cured with magical oils. Types like Rheumatoid Arthritis can start in your 20s or even childhood. Get a proper blood test like RA factor and consult a rheumatologist.

I am only 28 and my finger joints have started aching and feeling stiff in the mornings. I am really scared if this is the start of arthritis. Has anyone else experienced joint pain this early in life?

Osteoarthritis is common after 45-50, but joint wear can start earlier if there was an injury. Keeping your joints mobile with low-impact walking and strength training keeps the surrounding muscles strong, provided your doctor clears you for it.

I felt a pop in my knee at 32 and thought my sports career was over before it even started! Don't worry too much, sometimes it is just lack of lubrication or a minor muscle pull. Go see a doctor and they will fix you up.

Though wear-and-tear arthritis usually starts in the 40s, eating an anti-inflammatory vegetarian diet rich in turmeric, ginger, and calcium can support bone health early on. Make sure to consult a specialist for exact treatment.

Honestly, after sitting for 6 hours of lectures and then gaming all night, my back and knees creak like I am 80. But jokes aside, my cousin was diagnosed with juvenile arthritis when she was just a teenager. So it can literally start at any age.
