Should you bundle up with a fever?

My little one has a fever today, and my mother-in-law is telling me to wrap her up in extra blankets. She says it helps bring the fever down. Should you bundle up with a fever, or is it better to keep cool?

Honestly, when I get a fever, I usually feel super cold first, so I bundle up. But then if it gets too high, I kick off all the blankets! I think it's about listening to your body. My mom always says 'don't make yourself hotter' though.

I'm not really sure, I always thought bundling up helps you sweat it out? But then sometimes it feels like it just makes you hotter. So what's the best way to bring a fever down, should we use light blankets or thick ones?

My mother used to tell us to cover up well to 'sweat it out'. But modern doctors always say not to bundle up too much, especially if the fever is high. Your body needs to release heat. So, comfortable, light clothes are better. Always listen to your doctor's advice on these things, it's safest.

Ah, the age-old question! When I get a fever, half of me wants to wrap in every blanket I own, and the other half knows it's probably a bad idea. Seriously though, too much bundling can actually trap heat. Best to wear light stuff and let the fever break naturally, or with medication if the doc says so. My body is tired of these games!

From my experience, when a fever first starts, you might feel chilly and want a light blanket. But once the fever is established and high, you should avoid bundling up too much. Your body needs to release heat to cool down. Wear light clothing, stay in a cool room, and consider a sponge bath.

Honestly, when I have a fever and feel cold, I just want to snuggle up in a thick blanket! But my doctor always says to dress lightly and keep the room cool so the fever doesn't rise too much. It's tough, but it helps. So, light clothing and a thin sheet are probably better.

While you might feel chills and want to bundle up, it's generally not recommended to overdo it. Excessive bundling can prevent your body from releasing heat, which might make the fever worse. It's always safer to keep comfortable, stay hydrated, and if fever persists or is very high, consult a doctor.
