Should infants sleep on their back or stomach?

My baby is 3 months old, and I've heard conflicting advice from my mother-in-law and my friends about how he should sleep. Some say on the back, some say on the stomach is fine. Which is safer for infants?

This question used to give me so much anxiety as a new mom. You read so many things! But honestly, after talking to my pediatrician and doing my research, sleeping on their back is the safest. It reduces the risk of SIDS, and that peace of mind is invaluable. Don't let anyone tell you otherwise.

While my health issues are different, I always emphasize following doctor's advice, especially for infants. For infant sleep, all medical advice points to placing them on their back. It's a critical safety measure, don't compromise on it. Regular checkups for the baby are also very important.

When our baby was born, we were very particular about this. The hospital staff and our pediatrician all strongly advised placing the baby on their back for sleep. It's about reducing the risk of SIDS. They also said to ensure nothing is in the crib like loose blankets or toys.

I'm not a parent yet, but I've read a lot about this because my sister just had a baby. Everything I've seen, from health sites to doctors, says babies should sleep on their backs. It seems to be the most recommended position for safety.

Definitely on their back! 👍 All the pediatricians and child safety guidelines say so to reduce risks. It's super important for a peaceful night's sleep for both baby and parents. Keep it simple and safe! ✨
