Should i sleep with gauze after tooth extraction?

I just had a tooth extracted and the dentist told me to bite on gauze. I'm wondering if I should keep the gauze in my mouth while I sleep tonight, or remove it before bed?

Oh, the post-extraction panic is real! I was so scared after my wisdom tooth. My dentist said specifically NOT to sleep with gauze. The risk of choking or dislodging the clot is high. Just keep it on for the first hour or so to stop bleeding, then gently remove. Don't worry, it'll be okay!

This is exactly the kind of thing I'd overthink all night! What if it slips? What if I swallow it? My dentist always tells me to remove it once the bleeding has mostly stopped. It's better to sleep without it to avoid any risks. Just make sure the clot is formed properly.

Tooth extractions are seriously stressful, I totally get the worry. I felt so vulnerable after mine. But no, you shouldn't sleep with gauze. It's a choking hazard and can mess with the blood clot. Just take it out before sleeping, that's what my dentist advised.

From a practical safety perspective, sleeping with gauze in your mouth after an extraction is not recommended. It can be a choking hazard, especially if you're sedated or sleep deeply. It's typically for initial bleeding control. Once the bleeding slows down and a clot forms, you should remove it before going to bed.

Ayyo, no, please don't sleep with the gauze in your mouth, beta. My dentist always says to take it out after the initial bleeding stops. It's not safe to sleep with anything in your mouth. Just follow the doctor's instructions carefully for a smooth recovery.

Definitely not a good idea to sleep with gauze in your mouth after extraction. It's a choking hazard and can disturb the crucial blood clot formation, leading to complications like dry socket. Always follow your dentist's post-op instructions very carefully. If you're unsure, call them up!

I just got a tooth pulled last month! My dentist was very clear: remove the gauze before sleeping. It's mainly for stopping the bleeding right after. Sleeping with it can dislodge the clot or you might choke. Just keep your head elevated a bit with pillows.

Nah, dude, don't sleep with it. My dentist told me to take it out after an hour or two once the bleeding chilled out. It can be a choking risk. Just make sure the clot is formed, then take it out. Sleep with your head propped up a bit.
