Should i go to work with a fever of 102?

Got a fever of 102, which is quite high for me. My family is telling me to rest, but I have a presentation at work that I really can't miss. Is it safe to go in?

Absolutely not! A 102 fever is high enough to warrant staying home, taking paracetamol, and getting serious rest. You won't be able to concentrate, and you'll put your colleagues at risk of catching whatever you have. Trust me, I've seen people push through and it always ends up worse. Take care of yourself first.

A 102 F fever is considered a significant fever. It indicates your body is actively fighting an infection. It's strongly advised not to go to work, as you'll be less productive, potentially contagious, and risk worsening your condition. The best course of action is to rest, hydrate, take fever-reducing medication, and consult a doctor if it doesn't subside or if you develop other concerning symptoms.

Oh goodness, 102 is really high. Please, don't even think about going to work. I once pushed myself with a high fever and ended up with complications that took weeks to recover from. You need to rest, hydrate, and absolutely call your doctor immediately. They might want you to come in for a check-up. Be very cautious with high fevers.

Wow, 102 sounds really serious. I always thought anything over 100 was bad, but 102 is a big jump. So if it's that high, does it usually mean you definitely need antibiotics, or can it still be viral? I'm just curious because sometimes I get mild fevers and wonder at what point it gets really serious.

Oh god, 102 is definitely high enough to make anyone panic! But it's your body's way of fighting. Don't go to work. Stay home, take a fever reducer, and try to cool down with lukewarm baths. Keep drinking water and monitor it. If it doesn't come down with medication or you feel really bad, then absolutely call your doctor. But work is a no-go for now.

As a mom, if my child had a 102 fever, there's no way they'd be going to school, and the same goes for me to work. Your body is really fighting hard, and you need complete rest to recover. Take some paracetamol, drink plenty of fluids, and stay in bed. Don't try to be a hero; you'll just make yourself worse and possibly infect others.
