Should i go to urgent care for shoulder pain?

I lifted something heavy yesterday and now I have a sharp pain in my right shoulder that's making it difficult to move my arm. It's not constant, but certain movements really hurt. Should I go to urgent care for shoulder pain, or just rest it?

Dude, if it's just a mild ache from maybe working out too hard, you can rest. But if it's sharp, sudden, or you can't move your arm, then yeah, urgent care is a good call. My uncle had sudden shoulder pain and it was actually a heart issue, so better get it checked to be safe, bro.

I can't give medical advice, but I've had shoulder pain before. If it's a minor strain from lifting something heavy, I'd usually rest it, apply a hot pack, and take an over-the-counter painkiller. But if it was excruciating, or I felt numb, or couldn't move my arm at all, I wouldn't hesitate to go to an urgent care. My experience tells me some pains need quick professional assessment.

I actually just went to urgent care for bad shoulder pain! Mine was really sharp and I couldn't lift my arm much. Turns out it was a rotator cuff strain. They did an X-ray and gave me some strong painkillers and physical therapy referral. If your pain is interfering with your daily life or feels intense, go. It's better than suffering and wondering.

For shoulder pain, especially if it's sudden, severe, or you've had an injury, urgent care is appropriate. At a place like Apollo, they'd assess for fractures, dislocations, or muscle tears. Don't delay if there's numbness, weakness, or if the pain radiates. Clearly explain your symptoms to the doctor there, they can guide you best.
