Should i go to school with a fever of 99?

My son woke up with a slight fever, just 99°F, but he seems otherwise fine and wants to go to school. I'm torn between sending him or keeping him home just in case. Should I go to school with a fever of 99?

No, absolutely not. Even a 99-degree fever can mean you're carrying something contagious. You could spread it to others in school. Plus, your body is fighting something, so you need rest. It's always safest to stay home and monitor your temperature, and if it rises or other symptoms appear, get it checked by a doctor.

I totally get the pressure to go to school and not miss out, but 99 is still a fever, even if it's low-grade. Your body is trying to tell you something. It's really important to rest and not push yourself, plus you wouldn't want to potentially pass anything on to classmates or teachers. Take a day off, hydrate, and see how you feel.

Seriously, don't ask on the internet if you should go to school with a fever. Your school probably has a policy, and your doctor can tell you if it's safe and if you're contagious. A 99-degree fever can be a warning sign. Call your family doctor and get proper medical advice, not random opinions.

I had 99 fever last month and thought I could manage. Went to work and ended up feeling much worse by afternoon. Had to leave early. Trust me, it's better to rest up. You won't concentrate well anyway, and you might make others sick. Stay home, drink warm water, and chill.

Even a slight fever like 99 can be a sign your body is under stress. As someone with thyroid issues, I know how easily symptoms can be dismissed. It's always wise to stay home, observe, and get adequate rest. If it persists or you feel unwell, it's important to consult a doctor. Don't push yourself when your body is giving signals.

A 99-degree fever, while low, means your body is fighting something. From a practical standpoint, it's better to stay home. You won't be fully productive, and you risk spreading potential illness. Prioritize your health and the health of others. Take the day off, rest, and see how you feel tomorrow. It's not worth the disruption.
