Should diabetics eat gluten free?

My friend who is diabetic recently switched to a gluten-free diet, saying it helps with his sugar levels. I'm also diabetic, and I'm wondering if I should do the same. Should diabetics necessarily eat gluten-free food, or is it not required for everyone?

As someone managing PCOS, I know how confusing diet advice can be. For diabetics, going gluten-free isn't automatically beneficial unless there's a specific gluten sensitivity or celiac disease. It's best to consult an endocrinologist or a specialized dietician for personalized advice, rather than just following trends.

Hari Om. The body is a temple, and we must care for it with wisdom. For diabetics, if there is no specific condition like celiac, cutting out gluten may not be necessary. Focus on whole, unprocessed foods and a calm mind. Consult your physician, and trust in their guidance. Stay positive.

This gluten-free trend is everywhere, but for diabetics, it's not a blanket rule. Some gluten-free products are actually higher in sugar and unhealthy fats. So, please, please get a proper diagnosis from a doctor first if you suspect gluten intolerance. Otherwise, it might do more harm than good. Always check with a professional.

I'm diabetic myself for over 10 years. My endocrinologist and dietician clearly told me that going gluten-free is only necessary if you have celiac disease or a diagnosed gluten sensitivity. Otherwise, many whole-grain gluten-containing foods are actually good for diabetics due to fiber. Focus on whole grains and portion control, not just 'gluten-free' labels.

Humare gaon mein toh yeh gluten-free ka itna chalan nahi. Diabetics ke liye doctor bolte hain ki simple khana khao, roti sabzi, dal. Agar aapko koi allergy hai gluten se, tabhi chhodna. Varna, jo doctor kahe wohi sahi hai. Achi sehat sabse zaruri hai.

Hello! Many people get confused about this. For diabetes, the main focus is on managing blood sugar, which means watching carbohydrate intake and choosing complex carbs. Unless your doctor has specifically diagnosed you with celiac disease or gluten intolerance, there's no general need for diabetics to go gluten-free. Always best to consult your doctor or a dietician.

I've been researching diabetes diets for a project, and it seems like the gluten-free thing is a common question. From what I understand, it's not a blanket recommendation. It really depends on whether someone has celiac or not. Otherwise, whole grains with gluten can be part of a healthy diabetic diet. It's a lot to learn!
