Should a benign kidney tumor be removed?

My relative recently found out she has a benign kidney tumor. The doctors are discussing options, and we are quite worried. Should a benign kidney tumor always be removed, or are there cases where it can be managed without surgery?

Honestly, surgery costs are very high, and tests also add up. If it's truly benign and small, many doctors just recommend watchful waiting and regular scans to monitor it. Removing it means hospital bills and recovery time. So if it's not causing issues, monitoring might be the practical, cost-effective option, but always with doctor's strict advice.

For a benign kidney tumor, whether to remove it or not depends on many factors, like its size, location, and if it's growing. As someone managing diabetes, any surgery carries extra risks, so doctors are usually more cautious. Many times, they prefer to just monitor benign tumors with regular scans, unless it's causing problems. It's a decision to make very carefully with your specialist.

Oh, another health problem to worry about! If it's benign, then why remove it, right? My body is already tired of all the maintenance. Doctors usually monitor these things, especially if they're not causing any trouble. Unless it's growing or bothering you, maybe just leave it alone? But obviously, consult a real doctor, not someone like me cracking jokes.

From what I've heard in health classes, if a tumor is benign, it means it's not cancerous and usually doesn't spread. So, doctors often just watch it closely with regular checkups. Removing it might be an option if it's causing symptoms or growing, but it's not always necessary. My bio prof said 'wait and watch' is common for benign stuff.

I was just reading about this online! If a kidney tumor is benign, many doctors suggest 'active surveillance.' This means they monitor it with regular scans to see if it changes or grows. Surgery is usually considered if it's very large, causing symptoms, or if there's any suspicion it might not be entirely benign. It's not an automatic decision to remove it.
