Is yogurt good for stomach pain?

Sometimes I get stomach pain after eating certain foods. My mother always gives me dahi. Is yogurt actually good for settling an upset stomach?

Beta, plain dahi is often used as a home remedy for mild stomach upset because it's cooling and has good bacteria. It can help if the pain is from indigestion or a little acidity. But if the pain is severe or persists, it's not a home remedy issue. Then you must see a doctor, don't delay.

Oh, stomach pain can be so worrying, I completely understand the anxiety it causes. For mild pains, especially if it feels like indigestion or acidity, plain yogurt can sometimes be soothing because of its probiotics. It might calm your gut a bit. But if the pain is intense, new, or doesn't go away, please, get it checked by a doctor right away.

Please be very careful with stomach pain. I once dismissed sharp stomach pain thinking it was just gas, and it turned out to be appendicitis! While plain yogurt can be soothing for minor indigestion, it's absolutely NOT a solution for serious stomach pain. If it's more than a mild ache, or if it doesn't go away, you MUST see a doctor. Don't risk complications.

I've noticed from my fitness app's food logging that when my stomach feels off, plain yogurt sometimes helps normalize my digestion. It's the probiotics working their magic. If the stomach pain is mild, it's worth trying. But for severe or persistent pain, no app or food can replace a proper medical diagnosis. Go to a doctor immediately if it's serious.

For a simple upset tummy, a little plain dahi can be quite soothing because of all the good bacteria! 😊 It's cooling too. But if the stomach pain is really bad or keeps coming back, then it's time to see a doctor, ok? Don't ignore serious pain! ✨
