Is yogurt good for piles?

I've been dealing with piles lately, and it's quite uncomfortable. My mother-in-law suggested eating more dahi. Is yogurt actually good for piles?

Oh, dealing with piles is so stressful, I totally get why you'd be looking for relief. Plain yogurt with its probiotics can help with digestion and keep things smooth, which might ease symptoms by preventing constipation. But it's not a cure. Make sure it's unsweetened and maybe check with your doctor too. Every little bit helps, but professional advice is important.

Hi, I'm new to this topic. I was wondering if it needs to be fresh, homemade dahi or if store-bought plain yogurt also works? I've heard probiotics are good for piles, so I thought it might help. Does anyone know?

For piles, consistent bowel movements and avoiding strain are crucial. Plain yogurt can definitely help with gut health and digestion. Coupled with a good fiber-rich diet and staying active – even just a regular walk can make a huge difference – it can be supportive. But if your piles are painful or bleeding, please see a doctor immediately.

As someone who deals with thyroid issues, I know how interconnected everything in the body is, especially digestion. For piles, which are often worsened by constipation, plain yogurt with its probiotics can potentially help regulate bowel movements. However, it's a supportive food, not a treatment. You need regular check-ups with your doctor and proper medical advice for piles.

I've tried many home remedies for various things, and for digestive issues, plain dahi is often recommended because it's cooling and has good bacteria. For piles, maintaining soft stools is key, and yogurt can help with that by improving gut health. But it's not a magic fix. You need to ensure a high-fiber diet, plenty of water, and if the piles are severe, definitely see a doctor. Home remedies help, but don't replace medical care.
