Is yoga good for back pain?

My back has been bothering me a lot since I started sitting for longer hours for work. Someone at the office suggested I try yoga. Will it actually help with this constant ache?

I'm new to yoga, but my friend keeps telling me to try it for my lower back pain. Which type of yoga is best for back pain? Should I join a class or can I start with online videos?

I have chronic back pain and I'm really scared to try new exercises, what if it makes it worse? But I keep hearing about yoga. Has anyone else with back pain found it helpful? Did you feel more pain initially?

Yoga brings harmony to the body and mind. For back pain, it can be a great blessing. It strengthens the spine and helps you be more mindful of your posture. Practice with patience and a positive heart. But always take care and consult a healthcare professional for guidance.

Yoga can be very good for back pain as it strengthens core muscles and improves flexibility. If you have any underlying issues like thyroid, regular exercise like yoga can complement your treatment, but always keep up with your doctor appointments and tests. A strong core helps prevent back issues.

Yaar, yoga is actually fantastic for back pain! I used to have really bad lower back issues from sitting too much, and after starting a gentle yoga class, I felt a huge difference. It strengthens your core and stretches out tight muscles. Just find a good instructor who knows about back pain.

Definitely! I track my activity and pain levels on my health app, and consistent gentle yoga has shown a noticeable improvement in my back pain. Look for apps or online programs specifically for 'yoga for back pain' – they often have modified poses. Just make sure to listen to your body and not push too hard.
