Is yellow rice good for diabetics?

My father is diabetic, and we are always looking for healthy food options for him. We sometimes make yellow rice at home; is yellow rice generally considered good for diabetics?

Haan, yellow rice matlab mostly basmati rice with haldi, right? White rice is generally not the best for diabetics because of high carbs. Thoda brown rice ya millets try karo instead. Consult your doc, na.

Honestly, I can't say if it's 'good' or 'bad' for everyone. My husband has diabetes, and we usually prefer brown rice or quinoa instead of white rice, even if it's yellow. Best to ask your own doctor.

Yellow rice? Like pulao? Idk man, my nani has diabetes and she tries to avoid too much rice. She mostly eats roti or jowar. Maybe check with a doc or nutritionist, they'd know for sure.

Rice, in general, has a high glycemic index, so any type of white rice, even if yellow, should be consumed in moderation by diabetics. Better to combine it with lots of veggies and protein. And keep up with your walks, that helps a lot too!

As someone managing diabetes for years, I'd say be careful with any kind of white rice. Yellow rice typically means white rice with turmeric or saffron, so the carb content remains high. Small portions, and always pair it with a good amount of fibre and protein to slow down sugar absorption.

Oh, yellow rice can be so flavourful, especially with some good biryani! But for diabetics, yaar, any white rice based dish has to be eaten in small quantities. Better to have it as a treat sometimes than a daily staple, no?

Hello! Yellow rice is usually made from white rice, so it's high in carbohydrates. For diabetics, it's generally recommended to limit white rice and opt for whole grains like brown rice, oats, or millets. Always good to discuss your diet with your doctor or a dietician.
