Is yellow fever and jaundice same?

My elderly aunt mentioned 'yellow fever' and then started talking about her jaundice. I got confused if these two are related or even the same thing. Are yellow fever and jaundice the same?

No, they are different. Jaundice is a symptom of liver dysfunction, which can happen due to many reasons, including thyroid issues. Yellow fever is a virus. Please get a proper blood test to find the cause if you have yellowing eyes.

I used to think they were the same because of the 'yellow' name, but they aren't! Yellow fever is a specific viral disease from mosquito bites, whereas jaundice is just a symptom of liver issues. Don't worry, they are quite different.

I got so anxious thinking they were the same and started panicking. Jaundice is common and indicates liver health, while yellow fever is a rare virus here. Getting a doctor to explain really helped calm my nerves.

Nope, they are not the same! Yellow fever is a viral disease spread by mosquitoes, and jaundice is just a symptom of liver trouble. Stay safe and keep those mosquitoes away.

No, they are different. Please don't worry, but do consult a doctor if you are feeling unwell or have yellowing of the skin.

In my experience traveling abroad, they are totally different. I had to show a yellow fever vaccine certificate, but jaundice is just a condition where bilirubin levels rise in the blood. Always consult a doc for details.

They are different. Yellow fever is a viral infection that can cause jaundice as a symptom in its later stages. Jaundice itself is just high bilirubin in the blood due to any liver issue.

No, my friend. Yellow fever is a mosquito-spread virus, while jaundice is just your liver telling you to stop eating heavy street food. Get a proper checkup if you are feeling sick.

Honestly, I was so sleep-deprived I thought they were identical twins! But yellow fever is a virus from mosquito bites, while jaundice is just your liver protesting. Both need a doctor's checkup though.

Not at all, bro. Jaundice is when your liver is struggling and skin turns yellow, but Yellow Fever is a specific tropical virus spread by mosquitoes. Completely different things!
