Is xanax good for sleep?

I've been having a lot of trouble sleeping lately, and it's really affecting my daily life. A friend suggested I ask my doctor about Xanax. Is Xanax good for sleep, or are there better, safer alternatives?

It can help with sleep temporarily, but it is not a long-term solution. For diabetics, sleep issues can often be linked to nighttime blood sugar drops. It is much better to check your sugar levels and discuss with your doctor.

Absolutely not for self-medication. It is a highly addictive prescription sedative, not a simple sleeping pill. If you are struggling with insomnia, go to a sleep specialist or psychiatrist rather than searching online.

This medication is primarily indicated for severe anxiety and panic disorders, not as a primary treatment for insomnia. Using it long-term for sleep can lead to dependency. Please consult a qualified doctor for a proper diagnosis.

I agree, it is very habit-forming and should only be taken if strictly prescribed by a doctor.

I was looking into this because of my own late-night sleep struggles. From what I read, it might make you fall asleep quickly, but it actually disrupts your deep sleep quality. Natural methods are definitely better.
