Is whey protein good for diabetes?

My father has diabetes and struggles to get enough protein. Someone suggested whey protein could be a good option. Can people with diabetes safely consume whey protein, ya fir it's better to avoid?

It can help because protein keeps you full and prevents sugar spikes. But honestly, buying expensive whey is not necessary for everyone. Sattu or roasted chana can also give you good protein at a fraction of the cost.

Actually, whey protein can help improve insulin sensitivity when taken in moderation. Just make sure you buy a pure brand with zero added sugar or artificial sweeteners, as those can cause sudden spikes.

I was reading some medical articles online about this. Some studies show that having whey before a meal can help reduce post-meal sugar spikes, but I'm still trying to find out if there are any long term side effects.

Honestly, keeping track of diabetes diet is exhausting. I started taking whey because I was too tired to cook eggs in the morning. It keeps my sugar stable and saves me 20 minutes of sleep, so no complaints!

Whey protein works best for diabetic control when you combine it with muscle building. Try 30 minutes of resistance training or brisk walking daily if your doctor says it's safe for your heart.

It can actually be super helpful to manage those crazy hunger cravings! 🌟 Just check the nutrition label carefully for sugar content before buying any tub.
