Is wellbutrin hard on the liver?

I'm supposed to start Wellbutrin, but I'm worried about its impact on my liver. I've heard some medications can be quite hard on it. Is Wellbutrin generally considered hard on the liver?

I have been on this medicine for a year now. My doctor checked my liver enzymes before starting and then after six months; thankfully my levels remained perfectly normal. Just follow your doctor's advice.

It can be a bit concerning to think about liver health when starting new meds. But generally, it is considered safe for the liver unless you already have liver damage. Just avoid drinking alcohol while you are on it.

Any psychiatric medicine requires careful monitoring. I have thyroid issues and always get a full liver and kidney panel done every six months just to be safe. Ask your doctor to schedule regular blood tests for you.

It is metabolized by liver enzymes, so if you have pre-existing liver issues, the doctor might prescribe a lower dose. You can keep a track of your symptoms and share them directly with your healthcare provider.

Taking any chemical medicine puts some load on our organs. Along with your prescribed treatment, try to practice daily pranayama and drink plenty of water to help your body flush out toxins naturally.

Actually, it's not super common to have liver issues with it unless you already have some liver damage yaar. Just get a simple LFT test done if you are too worried about it.
