Is weakness in legs a sign of a stroke?

My mother suddenly felt a weakness in one of her legs, and she's struggling to walk. We're very worried. Could weakness in legs be a sign of a stroke, or something else serious?

Please do not ignore this even for a minute. My uncle had sudden leg weakness and we thought it was just weakness from travel, but it turned out to be a mini-stroke. Go to the nearest emergency hospital immediately because time is extremely critical in these cases.

While leg weakness can sometimes be related to neurological issues, a sudden weakness on one side of the body is indeed a classic sign of a stroke. It could also just be nerve compression or extreme fatigue, but you should not guess. Please consult a neurologist immediately to get an accurate diagnosis.

Whoa, that sounds really serious bro. If it happened suddenly and they can't lift their leg or are slurring their words, don't sit on the internet searching. Pls call an ambulance or rush them to the doc right away.

My grandmother always used to say that any sudden numbness in the limbs should be checked immediately. Leg weakness can happen due to lack of blood circulation or sugar drops, but since it is a major stroke symptom, please take them to a doctor right away to be safe.

If it is gradual weakness after heavy leg workouts or poor nutrition, it is usually a muscle or nerve issue. But if it is sudden, unilateral, and accompanied by dizziness or facial drooping, it is a medical emergency. Get professional medical help immediately and do not try any home remedies.
