Is watermelon ok to eat for diabetics?

My husband is diabetic, and I'm always looking for healthy snacks for him. He loves watermelon, but I'm worried about the sugar. Is watermelon generally okay to eat for diabetics, perhaps in small quantities?

Our elders say fresh fruits are good, but watermelon is very high in natural sugar. It can cause a sudden rise in your glucose levels. Please check with your diabetologist before adding it to your diet.

It is really hard to give up fruits you love, and I totally understand how frustrating it is. Watermelon can spike your sugar quickly, so please consult your doctor to find out a safe portion size for you.

Hi! Watermelon is super yummy but has a high glycemic index, so it's a bit risky for diabetics. 🍉 Try to have just a tiny bit and talk to your doctor first. Take care! 😊

Humare yahan garmi me tarbooz khoob khate hain, par jinhe sugar ki bimari hai unhe thoda dhyan rakhna chahiye. Ek-do piece se zyada mat khana aur doctor babu se ek baar pooch lena.

I have been managing diabetes for over twenty years now. A small slice of watermelon occasionally in the morning hasn't harmed me, but everyone's body is different. You must follow what your own doctor advises.
