Is vomiting common with the flu?

I've caught a bad flu, and along with body aches and fever, I also feel very nauseous. Is vomiting a common symptom when you have the flu?

Whenever I get a bad seasonal flu, I struggle with severe nausea and sometimes vomit too. But my doctor always told me to make sure it's not food poisoning instead.

Yeah yaar, actually it's pretty common, especially if you have a high fever and your stomach gets upset. Just keep sipping Electral water and don't eat heavy food.

Yes, nausea and vomiting can happen with the flu, particularly in children, though adults get it too. Make sure you are maintaining your fluid intake so you don't get dehydrated, and see a doctor if it persists.

I have a high fever today and I just threw up twice. I'm really anxious that it might be something worse than just the flu. Has anyone else experienced bad vomiting with regular seasonal viral fever?

It is honestly so exhausting and frustrating when you are already shivering with flu fever and then you start vomiting too. I felt so weak and helpless. Please hang in there, it does get better once the virus runs its course.
