It can be, especially due to severe hormonal fluctuations. I used to get terrible nausea and throw up on day one, which actually improved after I got my thyroid levels regulated. Do get your hormones checked if this happens every month.

My cycle tracker shows a strong correlation between my peak prostaglandin levels and nausea on day one. Prostaglandins cause the uterus to contract, but they can also affect your digestive tract, leading to vomiting. Keeping track of your symptoms really helps identify patterns!

Our bodies undergo a lot of cleansing and hormonal shifts during our periods, which can sometimes manifest as nausea or vomiting. Stay positive, drink warm ginger water, and give your body the rest it deserves during this time.

Yes, many women experience vomiting due to severe menstrual cramps and hormonal shifts. Just rest as much as you can and try sipping some warm chamomile tea to soothe your stomach.

Oh god, day one is literally the worst, don't stress too much! I also used to throw up from the sheer intensity of the cramps. Take a hot water bag, lie down, and try to have some hot ginger tea, it will help you feel human again.

My sister suffers from this every single month; the hormonal surge can really upset the stomach. Make sure you are not taking strong pain meds on an empty stomach as that makes vomiting worse. Take care and don't push yourself to work today.

With my PCOS, the hormonal shifts are quite intense, and I do feel like throwing up sometimes on my period. It is fairly common but if it is stopping you from eating or drinking, please discuss it with your gynecologist.
