My younger cousin had HFMD recently and he actually threw up a couple of times. I think the high fever and throat blisters make them feel really sick and nauseous. Just keep them isolated so other kids don't get it.
I read so many articles online when my neighbor's kid got this, and I got so worried. While it is mostly about rashes on hands and feet, vomiting can happen if the virus is severe. Please monitor their hydration closely, dehydration can happen so fast.
If it is HFMD, there is no expensive cure or test needed, it just needs time. Don't waste money on fancy clinics unless the vomiting is continuous and they can't hold any liquid. Basic paracetamol and home isolation is mostly what doctors recommend anyway.
Seeing your child with painful blisters and then vomiting must be so terrifying for you, I completely understand. It is not the most common symptom, but it definitely happens with high viral load. Stay strong, this phase will pass in a few days.
I am not an expert, but from what I have read in parenting groups, vomiting can occasionally happen with HFMD. It might just be the body reacting to the fever. It is always safest to talk to your doctor to manage the symptoms properly.

Yes, we dealt with this last summer with my twins. One of them had vomiting along with the rashes. The trick is to give them very small spoonfuls of cold milk or water every ten minutes instead of a full glass, which triggers the gag reflex.
