Is vomiting a sign of dehydration?

My toddler has had loose motions and hasn't been drinking much water. She just vomited. Is vomiting a sign of dehydration in young children, or could it be something else entirely?

Yeah dude, totally can be! Happened to me once after a night out, next day I was throwing up and felt super drained. Doc said it was dehydration. So definitely drink water or ORS if you're throwing up.

Oh absolutely! Vomiting is no fun, especially when you just want to keep your yummy food down. Losing so much fluid makes you super thirsty. My nani always makes this nimbu paani with a pinch of salt and sugar, works wonders!

Yes, it often is. When you vomit, you lose a lot of fluids and electrolytes, which can quickly lead to dehydration. Keep sipping on ORS or coconut water to replenish.

Haan, it is. When you vomit, your body loses essential water and salts. It's important to drink small sips of water or ORS frequently, don't wait until you're very thirsty. Staying hydrated is key to recover quickly.

Ha! More like a sign that your body is having an eviction party for something it didn't like! But yeah, the aftermath of that party is usually extreme dehydration. So hydrate, hydrate, hydrate, unless you want to feel like a dried-up prune.
