Is vicks good for muscle pain?

My back has been aching quite a bit lately, especially after housework. My mother always puts Vicks VapoRub for any pain. Is Vicks actually good for muscle pain, or should I be looking for proper pain relief ointments?

Gentle stretching and deep breathing can help relax the body naturally. Vicks has menthol which gives a cooling sensation and temporary relief, but for deep muscle pain, a warm mustard oil massage or light yoga works wonders.

Haha, it definitely gives that nice, icy-hot feeling that distracts you from the pain! It is great for a quick fix before sleeping, but if the pain is from a heavy workout, a warm bath is even better.

Haan, temporary relief ke liye toh badhiya hai! It has menthol and eucalyptus so it relaxes the area quickly, but severe pain ho toh proper pain relief gel use karna chahiye na.

No need to buy expensive pain sprays for minor aches. Vicks is readily available in every household and works fine to soothe mild back or shoulder stiffness. Just apply a little bit and wrap a warm cloth around it.

In our home, we usually use warm sesame oil with a bit of camphor for body aches. Vicks is okay for a minor catch, but if the muscle pain persists for more than two days, it is always wise to consult a doctor to rule out any sprain.

I often get calf muscle pain after my evening runs. I have tried Vicks and it works okay for mild soreness, but a hot water bag compress for 15 minutes is far more effective for deep tissue relaxation. Give that a try.
