Is vaseline good for psoriasis?
My psoriasis flares up quite a bit, especially in dry weather. My friend uses Vaseline for her dry skin and suggested I try it. Would it be good for my psoriasis patches, or could it make them worse?

I had a bad flare-up of psoriasis last year and tried so many things. Vaseline did help a bit with the dryness and scaling, keeping the skin moisturized. But it doesn't cure it. My dermatologist gave me specific creams that finally cleared it up. So, it can be a part of the routine, but not the only thing.
When I go to the hospital, I always ask the doctor everything clearly. For psoriasis, Vaseline might be a good moisturizer, but it's essential to understand if it's suitable for your specific skin condition. Your dermatologist can tell you if it's safe to use alongside other treatments and how often. Just ask them directly.
Yaar, for skin conditions like psoriasis, you really shouldn't just pick up anything from the internet. Everyone's skin is different. Vaseline is just petroleum jelly, it's a barrier. Always best to consult a dermatologist for a proper diagnosis and treatment plan, nahi toh it can get worse.
Like my thyroid, psoriasis is a condition that needs proper medical supervision. Vaseline can help with keeping the skin hydrated and might ease the flaking, but it won't cure it. You should definitely see a dermatologist to understand your specific type of psoriasis and get proper medication. Don't delay.
Psoriasis can be tricky, like my BP, it needs regular management. Vaseline can moisturize and reduce irritation, which is good. But you need to find out the root cause and get proper medical treatment. Diet and stress management are also super important for skin conditions, same as for BP.

I've dealt with psoriasis for many years, beta. Vaseline is good for moisturizing and softening the scales, which makes them less itchy and painful. Apply it thick after a bath when skin is still damp. But this is just managing the symptoms; you absolutely need a dermatologist for prescribed medication and proper treatment plan for long-term relief.
