Is using an inhaler without asthma bad?

Sometimes when I feel a little breathless or congested, I use my friend's inhaler. I don't have asthma, but it feels like it helps a bit. Is using an inhaler without actually having asthma bad for your lungs or health?

Hmm, I'm not sure about that specifically, but just like with PCOS, misdiagnosing or self-medicating can cause more harm. Inhalers have specific medications, so using it without a doctor's advice sounds risky. Better to get checked first.

My doctor clearly told me that inhalers are prescription meds and not to be used casually. They contain bronchodilators or steroids, which can have adverse effects if not truly needed. It's important to get a proper diagnosis first.

Arre baba, why would you even think of using an inhaler without needing it? Our bodies are not science experiments! Unless a doctor tells you to, stay away from medicines. Enough problems already, no need to add more!

Yeah, please don't do that! Inhalers are medications designed for specific lung conditions like asthma or COPD. Using them unnecessarily can have side effects or hide a different underlying problem. Always consult a doc.

I had a bad cough once and thought about using an old inhaler, but a friend told me not to. Turns out, it was just a severe allergy. Got proper meds and felt better. So yeah, don't self-medicate with inhalers, it's not a general cough syrup.
