Is type 1 diabetes hereditary?

My doctor mentioned that sometimes these things can be hereditary. Is Type 1 diabetes hereditary? My dadi had it, so I'm a bit concerned for my kids.

Yaar, actually it has a genetic link, haan. Like, it's not directly inherited always, but certain genes make you more prone. So if someone in your family has it, you might have a higher risk. But it's not like 100% guarantee, you know?

Yes, Type 1 diabetes can run in families, so there's a hereditary component. My advice is, if you have a family history, don't ignore any symptoms, even if they seem minor. I ignored some things once and regretted it. Please get regular check-ups.

People often confuse hereditary with infectious or directly inherited. Type 1 diabetes has a genetic component, but it's complex. Don't rely on internet theories. Always verify this kind of information with a qualified medical doctor for proper understanding.

There's a genetic predisposition for Type 1 diabetes. It means certain genes increase your risk, but an environmental trigger is usually needed for it to develop. So, yes, family history is a factor.

Yes, there is a hereditary link, meaning it can run in families. While you can't change your genes, being aware of family history encourages a very healthy lifestyle from childhood. Good diet and proper nutrition are crucial anyway, especially if there's a predisposition.
