Is there medication for arthritis?

My mother-in-law has been complaining about joint pain for ages, especially in her knees. She says it's arthritis. I was wondering if there's any proper medication available for it, or is it just pain relief she can take?

Yes, there are many medications, but please don't self-medicate with pain killers. I did that and it messed up my stomach badly. You must see a rheumatologist to get the right prescription for your specific type of arthritis.

Medicines are definitely there to manage the pain, but doctors also look at your overall health. Since I have high BP, my doctor told me to be very careful with arthritis pain pills as they can raise blood pressure. Regular checkups are a must.

Honestly, the knee pain keeps me awake till 3 AM half the time. My doc put me on some daily pills which have started helping a bit. Go get a proper prescription if you also want to save your sleep!

Look, there is no magic cure that makes arthritis vanish forever, but medicines can control it very well. Go to a good orthopaedic doctor, get your tests done, and start the proper treatment. Don't waste time on random internet advice.

Haan, arthritis ki kaafi saari medicines aati hain jo pain aur swelling dono kam karti hain. Par apne mann se mat lena koi bhi pill, doctor se consult karke hi proper treatment shuru karna, na?

I tried warm mustard oil massage, methi seeds, and what not for my joint pain. While those give minor relief, they cannot replace actual medical treatment. Modern medicines prescribed by my doctor really made life liveable again.
