Is there an 8 month sleep regression?

My 8-month-old was sleeping through the night but now suddenly wakes up every few hours. My mother-in-law said it's probably 'daant nikal rahe hain', but I read online about an 8-month sleep regression. Is that a real thing?

Haan, 8 month regression bilkul hoti hai. My son went through this and stopped sleeping during the day. Actually this is the time when they start sitting and crawling na, so they just don't want to lie down. Just be patient with them.

Oh absolutely, 8 months is super famous for sleep drama! Don't stress too much about it, they are just learning to crawl and sit up, so their brain is buzzing. Just take a deep breath, it is a very normal phase and will be over in a couple of weeks.

At 8 months, solids are fully introduced, so sometimes mild indigestion or gas can also ruin their sleep. Make sure you don't feed heavy dinners right before sleep. Keep a gap of at least an hour and see if that makes a difference.

Yes, it is very common because of cognitive milestones and separation anxiety. The key is to not create new sleep associations like rocking them to sleep every time they wake up. Stick to your usual bedtime training and they will adjust.

Haan na, my baby also did this exact same thing at 8 months. She would wake up crying every two hours for no reason. I think teething also happens around this time, which makes it worse. It is very tiring but temporary.
