Is there a vaccine for hepatitis e?

My cousin recently got diagnosed with Hepatitis E, and it was quite serious. I was wondering if there's any vaccination available for it, especially since we live in an area where hygiene can sometimes be an issue.

Beta, there is a vaccine developed in China for Hep E, but it is not commonly available or used in India. The main thing is to drink boiled water, eat freshly cooked warm food, and avoid street food during rainy seasons. If anyone gets jaundice symptoms, consult a doctor immediately.

Don't fall for random online claims about Hepatitis E vaccines or home cures. In India, there is no widely approved vaccine for it in general practice, so you must verify this with a proper doctor instead of relying on internet forums.

Humare yahan toh iski koi vaccine nahi milti hai ji. Bas pani ubal kar pina chahiye aur saaf safai ka dhyan rakhna chahiye. Agar tabiyat kharab ho toh turant sarkari hospital ke doctor ko dikhayein.

Agreed, there is no commonly used Hepatitis E vaccine here. Just focus on drinking clean, filtered water to stay safe.

Hepatitis E vaccine isn't part of our routine vaccinations in India. Since it mostly spreads through contaminated water, keeping your drinking water safe is your best defense. If you are traveling or worried, do have a quick chat with your family doctor.
