Is there a vaccine for dengue fever?
Every monsoon season, dengue fever becomes a big worry in our area. I was wondering, is there a vaccine available for dengue fever now? It would be a great relief if there was.

While there is a vaccine approved in some countries, its availability in India has been quite limited and it's usually recommended only under specific conditions. Practically speaking, focus heavily on mosquito control around your house and using sprays. If anyone has high fever with severe body pain, get a platelet checkup done immediately instead of waiting.
Is there really a vaccine now? Every monsoon season I get so scared of dengue because our society gets flooded with mosquitoes and the cases rise like crazy. Has anyone else here tried getting a dengue shot in India, or are we still just relying on basic mosquito coils and full-sleeve clothes?
Don't rely on finding a vaccine for dengue here just yet, focus on prevention. My whole family got hit by dengue two years back and it was brutal. What actually works is keeping your coolers clean, putting up mosquito nets, and getting tested the moment you see high fever symptoms.
As far as I know, there isn't a widely used vaccine for dengue in our routine Indian schedules yet. Because I manage thyroid issues, I have to be very careful with my immunity and regular blood work. If you are feeling unwell or have fever, it's always best to consult your general physician and get a proper CBC test done.
I haven't heard of a common dengue vaccine being used here yet. Honestly, maintaining a strong diet with fresh papaya leaf extracts, coconut water, and home-cooked light meals is what we rely on to build general immunity. Of course, if symptoms start, please consult a real doctor rather than just relying on diet.
