Is there a shot for eczema?

My little one, she's only 5, has been suffering from eczema since a few months. Her skin gets so dry and itchy, especially in winters. The creams help a bit, but I was wondering if there's any injection or shot for it now?

Yes, there are biological injection shots available now for moderate-to-severe eczema, like Dupilumab. They work from the inside to stop the inflammation. However, they are quite specialized and can be expensive, so a dermatologist is the best person to decide if you need them.

I agree with the others. There are indeed biological shots for severe eczema now, but you must consult a qualified dermatologist to see if you qualify.

Bro, my cousin had crazy eczema flares and his doctor started him on these biologic shots. It practically cleared his skin within a few months, but honestly, it cost him a bomb. Definitely ask your skin doc about the pricing and options first.

I am just starting to learn about eczema treatments because my sister is suffering from dry skin. Do these shots have any major side effects? We are planning to visit a skin specialist next week to ask about this.

I know there are injections for severe skin conditions, but remember that some steroid shots can temporarily spike your blood sugar levels. If you are managing diabetes like me, always inform your dermatologist so they can choose the safest option for your body.
