Is there a mental health hotline?

Sometimes I feel really low and just want to talk to someone without bothering my family or friends. Is there any mental health hotline available in India where I can call and speak to someone confidentially?

Haan beta, sarkari aur gair-sarkari dono tarah ke help number hain. Agar man bojhila ho toh Kiran helpline (1800-599-0019) pe phone karke baat kar lo. Woh log bade acche se baat sunte hain aur madad karte hain.

Yes, the government's Tele-MANAS helpline is 14416 or 1800-891-4416. It is free and available 24/7 across India.

Yes, you can call the Vandrevala Foundation helpline at +91 9999 666 555. They have trained counselors who can guide you through any immediate distress or panic attacks. Please save this number.

Are these hotlines completely confidential and free of cost? I am feeling very low and want to talk to someone, but I don't want my family to find out about it just yet.

Yes puttar, government has started several helplines like Kiran (1800-599-0019) to support people. Along with talking to them, try sitting in nature for a bit and drinking warm milk at night. But do use these services if you feel heavy.

Yes, you can dial 14416 anytime. When my mood is down, I order my favorite rolls, but honestly, talking to a real professional is what actually helps fix the root of the problem. Give them a call!

I totally get it, taking that first step to seek help can be incredibly scary but you are doing the right thing. You can call AASRA at 91-9820466726. They are wonderful, empathetic people who will listen without any judgment.

I used the Vandrevala Foundation line during a major personal crisis in 2021. They are professional and helpful. Keep these numbers saved on speed dial because during a panic attack, searching for them online is very difficult.

Bro, yes! You can try Tele-MANAS (14416). It's run by the government and free. Don't sit alone with heavy thoughts, just call them up, they are actually super helpful.

I always get anxious thinking what if they don't pick up, but please try Tele-MANAS at 14416. They are active 24/7. It's okay to feel overwhelmed, you are taking a very brave step by asking for help.
