Is there a medication that dissolves kidney stones?

My father has been suffering from kidney stones for a long time, and the pain is really bad sometimes. The doctor said he might need surgery. Is there any medicine that can just dissolve kidney stones without needing an operation?

Yes, there are syrups and tablets that help flush out small stones! 💧 Drinking lots of water is your best friend here. But definitely get an ultrasound done first so your doctor knows the exact size of the stone! 😊

My father always recommended drinking barley water for stones, but when my pain got severe, our doctor explained that only certain uric acid stones can be dissolved with medicines. Calcium stones usually need to be flushed out with lots of fluids or surgically removed.

Please don't buy those random 'stone dissolver' herbal juices you see on YouTube. Half of them are fake and can damage your kidneys. Go to a proper urologist, get a scan, and take scientifically proven medicines that they prescribe.

Yes, there are affordable generic tablets and syrups that doctors prescribe. Before buying expensive treatments, get a basic ultrasound from a decent budget lab to know the exact size. If it's very small, cheap generic medicines and water will do the job.

Some medicines like potassium citrate can help prevent and break down certain small stones. I track my daily water intake (aiming for 3.5 liters) on my smartwatch to ensure my kidneys stay clean. Definitely log your symptoms and see a specialist.

Yes, doctors do give medicines to help pass small stones smoothly. Try to drink plenty of warm water throughout the day. Don't worry, with proper rest and doctor's advice, you will feel better soon.

Hey, don't panic. If the stone is small (under 5mm), doctors usually give alkalinizing syrups and pain meds to help it slide out naturally with urine. Just stay hydrated and don't lift heavy weights. Go see a doctor and get it sorted safely.
