Is there a cure for liver disease?

My father's friend has liver disease, and it's been getting progressively worse. We were discussing if there's any hope for a full recovery for such conditions. Is there a proper cure for liver disease now, or is it mostly about managing symptoms?

Let's be direct—it depends entirely on what stage of liver disease you are talking about. Fatty liver is easily reversible with strict lifestyle changes, but cirrhosis cannot be 'cured', only managed. Get a FibroScan done and consult a gastroenterologist immediately.

The liver is a super organ and has amazing self-healing powers if we take care of it! With a healthy diet, low oil, and regular exercise, you can totally improve liver health. Stay positive and keep going!

Liver issues can be very silent in the early stages, so you should never ignore them. Please don't try any self-proclaimed liver detox juices. Get a proper liver function test and consult a qualified specialist to be absolutely safe.

A clean, plant-based diet can work wonders for a sluggish liver. Avoid oily, deep-fried foods and heavily processed items completely. Focus on green leafy vegetables, garlic, and beetroots which help natural detoxification, but always discuss with your doctor first.

If it is early-stage fatty liver, tracking your active calories and weight loss can reverse it completely. Use an app to monitor your daily macronutrient intake and try to achieve at least 150 minutes of moderate exercise per week.

My teenager was diagnosed with early fatty liver last year due to junk food. We cut out all soft drinks and outside food, replacing them with home-cooked meals. His liver enzymes are completely normal now, so daily habits make a huge difference.

I completely agree that lifestyle changes are key. Reducing alcohol and salt is the first step to helping your liver heal.

My grandmother always suggests having buttermilk with turmeric for liver health, which is good for digestion. However, for any proper liver disease, we must trust modern medical tests and follow the gastroenterologist's prescription strictly.
