Is there a 20 month sleep regression?

Our 20-month-old baby, who used to sleep soundly, is now waking up multiple times a night and resisting bedtime. It's really tiring for us. I'm trying to figure out if this is a phase. Is there a known 20-month sleep regression?

Oh, absolutely! My little one just went through this a few months ago. It felt like we were back to newborn days, waking up multiple times. It does pass, but for us, a consistent bedtime routine and cutting down on daytime naps helped a lot. Stay strong!

Sleep regression? More like 'sleep-is-a-myth-now' regression, am I right? Haha! Seriously though, it's totally normal. Your tiny human is probably just busy processing all the new things they're learning. Hang in there, coffee is your best friend!

Yes, it's a known developmental phase. Keep the routine rigid, even when they fight it. Also, try to ensure they're well-fed and have enough active playtime during the day to tire them out. Don't underestimate the power of a solid bedtime ritual.

From my experience, yes, that age can be quite tricky with sleep. My daughter had similar patterns around 20 months. We just tried to be patient and keep things as consistent as possible, knowing it was a phase. Everyone's journey is different though.

Haan, it's very common at that age. Trying a blackout curtain might help create a darker, calmer sleep environment.
