Is the saying starve a cold feed a fever?

My mother always tells us 'starve a cold, feed a fever' when we get sick. But my modern-day friends say it's an old wives' tale and not true. What's the real deal with this saying; is there any truth to it?

That's an old saying, but it's not medically accurate. It's best to nourish your body whether you have a cold or a fever. Stay hydrated and eat light, nutritious food.

Na bhai, that's just an old wives' tale, puraana. For both cold and fever, your body needs energy and hydration to fight the infection. Just eat light, nutritious food, and drink lots of fluids. Don't starve yourself, that's not good.

Oh, that's a very old saying, my grandmother used to say it too! But modern doctors say it's not quite right. Whether it's a cold or a fever, your body needs good food and plenty of liquids to recover. Always listen to your doctor's advice on diet when you're unwell.

Starve a cold, feed a fever? Man, I'm so sleep-deprived I'd probably just starve myself with a cold AND a fever by forgetting to eat. 😂 But seriously, that's outdated advice. Your body needs energy to fight anything, just eat light, easily digestible stuff.

Haha, that's such an old-school saying! 😂 But no, it's actually a myth. Your body needs energy and nutrients to fight off any illness, whether it's a cold or a fever. So, just eat nourishing food and drink lots of fluids! Stay healthy! 😊
