Is the liver part of the endocrine system?

Someone told me the liver also produces hormones. Does that mean it's part of the endocrine system, like the thyroid or pituitary glands?

Oh, that's an interesting question. I'm not sure, I thought it was just for digestion and detox. Does the endocrine system involve hormones? So, does the liver make hormones then?

Not primarily. The liver has many roles, but it's more associated with digestion and metabolism. While it does produce some hormones and interacts with the endocrine system, it's not classified as an endocrine gland in the same way as, say, the thyroid. Keep it simple.

This makes me overthink so much! I've read that the liver does produce some hormone-like substances and affects hormone metabolism, so it has *some* endocrine functions. But it's not primarily an endocrine gland. It's mostly digestion and detoxification. Don't let it stress you out too much!

Nahi, liver is mainly for digestion and detox, not really part of the endocrine system directly like thyroid or pancreas. It does interact with hormones, but it's not an endocrine gland itself. Clear hai?

No, it's not. The liver is crucial for processing things, but it's not part of the endocrine system that makes hormones. Focus on good lifestyle for overall health, especially for BP, and regular checkups. Don't confuse too many systems.
