Is tea bad for kidney stones?

My husband recently developed kidney stones, and the doctor gave him a list of foods to avoid. We're big tea drinkers in our house. Could someone tell me if tea is bad for kidney stones, or if certain types are better?

I totally get why you'd be worried about this! Some teas, especially black tea, have oxalates, which can contribute to kidney stone formation in sensitive individuals. But drinking enough water overall usually helps. It's more about quantity and what kind of stones you have.

See, generally, plain tea in moderation is okay for most people. But if you have kidney stones, especially oxalate stones, doctors often advise limiting foods high in oxalates, and some teas fall into that category. Green tea might be a better option than black tea. Best to ask your doctor what's suitable for your specific condition.

Hey, don't stress too much! It's a bit complicated. Some teas, like black tea, have oxalates which *can* contribute to certain kidney stones if you're prone to them. But usually, if you drink plenty of water, it balances out. Green tea is often considered safer. Best to check with your doc if you have a history!

It's a valid concern, and it depends on the type of kidney stone you might be prone to. Some teas, particularly black tea, are high in oxalates, which can contribute to calcium oxalate stones. However, hydration is key, and light, unsweetened tea might be fine. Always get a clear answer from your urologist.

When I go to the hospital, I always ask specific questions like this. For kidney stones, some doctors recommend limiting strong black tea due to oxalate content. But green tea or herbal teas might be okay. It really depends on your stone type. Please ask your urologist directly for precise advice.

Beta, pathri ki dikkat mein toh har cheez soch samajh kar khaani peeni chahiye. Kuch chaiyan, khaaskar jo tez wali hoti hain, unko kam karna accha rehta hai kyunki unmein kuch aise tatva hote hain jo pathri bana sakte hain. Hamesha doctor ki salaah leni chahiye.

Dard bahut hota hai na pathri mein. Dekho, zyada patti wali chai se thoda bachna chahiye agar pathri ki problem hai. Doctor bhi yehi bolte hain. Green tea ya saadi chai thodi kam leni chahiye. Pani bahut sara peeo bas, woh sabse achha hai.
