Is tb viral or bacterial?

My brother's biology project was about different pathogens, and he was confused about TB. He asked me if it's caused by a virus or bacteria. Could someone tell me if TB is viral or bacterial?

Hey, don't stress too much about the scientific terms! Just know that TB is caused by bacteria. So it's a bacterial infection, not viral. Super important distinction for treatment options, ya know?

From a practical standpoint, it's a bacterial infection. That's why the treatment involves a course of antibiotics. Viruses require different approaches. Always complete your full course of medication if diagnosed, it's very important.

I totally get it, it can be confusing to keep these things straight! TB is a bacterial infection, caused by Mycobacterium tuberculosis. This distinction is really important for how it's treated by doctors. Hope that clears it up!

Just as our breath guides our practice, understanding the root of an illness guides healing. TB is caused by a specific bacteria. Knowing this helps us understand why doctors prescribe certain medicines and how to support our body's healing process.

Beta, TB toh bacteria se hota hai. Ye toh sabko pata hona chahiye. Virus wali bimariyan alag hoti hain, unki dawaiyan bhi alag. Hamesha dhyan rakho, doctor se sahi ilaj karwana bahut zaruri hai.

Oh, this question makes me wonder too! I always get confused between bacteria and viruses. So, it's bacterial, right? Does that mean it's usually treated with antibiotics, or are there other special meds? Anyone else gets these mixed up often?

Ah, this is a question many people ask. In my time, doctors always stressed that TB is caused by bacteria, called Mycobacterium tuberculosis. It's important to remember this, as the medicines for bacteria are different from those for viruses. So, it's bacterial.

This is a fundamental thing that sometimes gets overlooked! TB is definitely caused by bacteria. If it was a virus, the entire management and public health strategy would be totally different. It's good to clarify these basics.

Honestly, when I was first diagnosed, I didn't even know the difference. But yes, it's bacterial. It's a lot to process when you're going through it, so it's good you're asking questions to understand it better.
