Is tb a chronic or acute disease?

My uncle had TB a few years ago, and he was on medication for a long time. I was wondering, is TB a chronic or acute disease? I always thought it was something you just recover from quickly.

Hello! TB can actually be both, depending on how it manifests. If it develops quickly and intensely, it's more acute. But many times, it can be a latent infection that becomes active later, which is more like a chronic condition requiring long-term treatment. It's quite complex.

Generally, TB is considered a chronic infectious disease, especially because the treatment takes several months. If it's left untreated, it definitely becomes long-term. Acute cases are usually when symptoms appear rapidly after exposure.

Dekho, TB ka treatment bahut lamba chalta hai, so mostly log usko chronic hi bolte hain. It needs a lot of patience and full course of medicines. No shortcuts here.

Oh, this is a tricky one. I always get confused between chronic and acute. But for TB, I think it's often more chronic because it takes such a long time to treat, right? Like, months and months of medication. It's scary to think about.

Ho na, TB can be a long-term thing, like for months you have to take medicine. So I guess that makes it chronic only. It's not like a normal fever that goes away in a few days. So much care needed.

Bhai, TB ko theek hone mein bahut samay lagta hai. Lambi bimari hai ye. Isliye isko purani bimari jaisa hi samjho, jiska ilaaj dhire dhire hota hai. Khayal rakho apna.

It's typically chronic due to the extended treatment period. This means consistent medication and follow-ups are crucial. No time to mess around, just follow the doctor's plan diligently.
