Is tanning good for psoriasis?

My psoriasis flares up quite a bit, and I've heard some people say that sun exposure or tanning can improve it. Is tanning actually beneficial for psoriasis, or could it worsen my condition?

Psoriasis can be very tricky. While some light therapy uses UV, tanning is a different ball game. I always focus on a good, clean diet to help with inflammation. For skin, I'd say better check with a dermatologist. Diet helps with overall health, but for specific skin treatments, professional advice is key.

It's a common misconception that tanning is good for psoriasis. While phototherapy (controlled UV light) is a recognized treatment, it's administered by professionals with precise dosages. Uncontrolled tanning can lead to sunburn, premature aging, and increased skin cancer risk, potentially worsening your psoriasis. Please rely on your dermatologist's advice.

Hello, dear! Psoriasis is a condition that really needs careful management. While some doctors do suggest specific UV light treatments, 'tanning' usually means getting a lot of uncontrolled sun, which can actually cause skin damage or even trigger flare-ups for some. Always, always check with your dermatologist before trying anything new for your skin. Be practical and safe.

Please, please don't just 'tan' for psoriasis based on random advice. The internet has so much misinformation. While UV light is used in phototherapy for psoriasis, it's a very controlled medical procedure, not just sunbathing. Always verify these things with a qualified dermatologist; your skin is too important to risk.

Hey sweetie! Psoriasis can be such a pain, I hear you. But tanning? Hmm, I'd be super careful with that. I know some light can help but full-on tanning can be damaging, especially for sensitive skin. Don't stress too much trying to find quick fixes, just go to a good dermatologist. They'll know exactly what to do!

I manage high BP, and with any health condition, consistency and professional advice are key. For psoriasis, relying on 'tanning' can be very risky. Your skin is your largest organ; treat it with care. Get regular checkups with a dermatologist and follow their prescribed treatment plan. Don't take shortcuts that might harm you.

Namaste. For skin issues, sometimes a little natural sun exposure can be soothing, like in the early morning. But tanning means strong sun, which can cause more harm. Healing comes from within, by balancing our body and mind. Regular yoga and pranayama can help with stress which often triggers psoriasis. For specific treatments, a doctor's guidance is important.

I've read that controlled UV therapy can help, but tanning itself is risky for psoriasis. Better talk to your skin doctor.

Psoriasis, ah, the skin's way of saying 'I'm tired of your nonsense!' Tanning? That's like trying to fix a leaky tap with a fire hose. Might feel like it's doing something for a bit, but likely to cause more trouble. My body's already got enough problems, don't need sunburn on top of it. Seriously, doc knows best for this one.

Honestly, tanning for psoriasis? Sounds a bit risky. While some sun can be good for Vitamin D, too much can burn your skin and make things worse. Best to stick to what your dermatologist says. They often have special light treatments if UV is needed, which is very controlled, not like just lying out in the sun. Simple, effective, and safe is always better.

I had a skin issue once where I tried some 'natural remedies' and it ended up complicated. For psoriasis, please be extremely careful. Tanning might seem like a quick fix, but it can easily lead to burns or make your skin more sensitive. It's truly best to see a dermatologist who can guide you on safe and effective treatments, including professional light therapy if needed.

Oh, psoriasis sounds so challenging! I always worry about trying new things for skin conditions. Has anyone here actually tried tanning and found it helpful, or did it make things worse? I'd be so scared of damaging my skin even more. I think a doctor's opinion is the safest.
