Is tanning good for eczema?

I've had eczema since childhood, and it gets really bad in winter. My friend told me that some sun exposure, like tanning, actually helps her skin. Is tanning really good for eczema, or is it just a myth?

Hey, take it easy. Eczema can be really annoying, I know. Some people do find that a little sun helps, but tanning? That's probably too much. Too much sun can actually damage your skin and make eczema worse for some. Better to stick to what your skin doctor advises.

Hmm, actually for eczema, sometimes controlled UV light therapy is used under a doctor's supervision, but that's very different from just 'tanning.' Tanning means prolonged sun exposure, which can lead to sunburn, dryness, and can trigger flare-ups. So generally, no, tanning is not good for eczema. Protect your skin!

Na baba na! Tanning aur eczema? Yeh toh kuch sahi combo nahi lag raha. Thodi dhoop haan, vitamin D ke liye achhi hoti hai, but tanning se toh skin dry ho jaati hai na. Eczema mein toh moisture chahiye hota hai. Better hai doctor se pucho, woh best advice denge.

Namaskaram! For skin conditions like eczema, my mother always used to say to keep the skin moisturized and avoid harsh things. Tanning, I don't think is good for it. While some say sunlight helps, proper tanning is generally not advisable as it can make skin dry and inflamed. Please consult a good skin doctor for proper treatment, dear.

Eczema, yaar! It's like your skin decided to throw a perpetual tantrum. Tanning for it? That's like trying to calm a crying baby by giving it more coffee! You might get a temporary distraction but it won't fix the root problem, and could make it worse. Better stick to the dermatologist's plan for that skin baby!
