Is tallow good for eczema?

My skin has been very dry and itchy lately because of eczema, especially in winter. Someone told me that tallow is good for it. Is this true, or should I stick to my regular moisturizer?

Many people find tallow helpful for eczema due to its moisturizing properties. It can soothe dry and irritated skin. Try a small area first to see how your skin reacts.

While tallow is for skin, remember that overall health, including blood sugar control for diabetes, can impact skin conditions like eczema. If you're trying new remedies, check the ingredients for anything that might irritate, and definitely ask your dermatologist, especially if you have other health conditions.

Tallow for eczema? Sounds a bit like something from a grandma's remedy book, right? But hey, if it's natural and moisturizes, it might just help! Just make sure you're not smelling like a mutton shop after applying it, haha! 😉 Always good to check with a doc too!

Eczema is so frustrating, I know! I tried tallow when my eczema flared up badly. It was surprisingly soothing and really helped to repair my skin barrier and reduce the itchiness. It's very rich, so a little goes a long way. Definitely worth a try if you're looking for natural moisturisers.

Beti, in our time, we used many natural things for skin problems. Tallow, being a natural fat, can be very nourishing for dry skin. For eczema, keeping the skin moisturized is very important. Many have found relief with such simple things. Give it a try on a small patch, but consult a good doctor too.
