Is sweet smelling poop a sign of diabetes?

For the past few days, I've noticed a strange, sweet smell in my stools, and it's quite persistent. My father has diabetes, so I'm a bit concerned if this could be an early sign of diabetes for me too. What does this indicate?

I totally get why you'd ask this, it's so unsettling when your body shows unusual symptoms. Sometimes it's just diet, but with diabetes, anything related to sugar balance needs attention. A doc visit can give you peace of mind.

Oh, I didn't know poop smell could be a sign of anything like that. Is it like a very distinct sweet smell, or just not the usual bad smell? Hope it's nothing serious for you.

Haan yaar, mere saath bhi hua tha ek baar, thodi sweet-smelling poo thi. I freaked out thinking it was diabetes! But turns out it was just something I ate that day. Still, if it's regular for you, definitely get it checked, just to be safe.

This is something I'd probably Google right away too! But honestly, I've seen articles saying it can be a sign, but also many other things. So confusing! Best to just visit a doctor to get the actual truth.

Achha? Sweet smelling? Meri toh hamesha... well, never sweet. 😂 But on a serious note, if your body is doing anything out of the ordinary, especially with diabetes in mind, just get it checked. My generation learned the hard way not to ignore signs.

Bhai/Behan, if your body is showing any new symptoms, especially something unusual like a sweet smell, don't delay. Diabetes is serious. Go see a doctor and get your blood sugar tested. That's the only way to know for sure.

My health app has a symptom checker, and while it flags unusual stool, it always recommends a doctor for anything persistent. For diabetes, blood sugar tests are key, not just smell. Get a checkup to be sure.

Hmm, that's an interesting question! 😊 While diet can definitely change things, if you're worried about diabetes, it's always best to get a proper check-up. Doctors are the best for diagnosing! 👍

Yes, it *can* be a symptom of uncontrolled diabetes, where excess sugar passes through. But it's not the only reason. Sometimes it's just malabsorption or even diet. Get a blood sugar test done quickly. Don't panic, but do act.

Look, for anything like diabetes, you cannot rely on home remedies or online info. Go to a good hospital, consult an internal medicine specialist. Only they can tell you after proper tests. Don't waste time wondering.
