Is sweating a sign of fever?

I'm down with a fever and feeling very hot, but I'm also sweating a lot. My mom said it means the fever is about to go away. Is sweating actually a sign that you have a fever?

Sweating often happens as a fever is breaking or when your body is trying to regulate its temperature. It's usually a good sign that the fever is subsiding. However, if it's persistent, cold sweat with other symptoms, or if the fever remains high, a doctor's checkup is always advisable. Don't take chances with health issues.

I get so confused about this! Sometimes I sweat like crazy and don't feel hot at all, and other times I'm burning up without any sweat. Does sweating actually mean I have a fever, or is it more like a sign that it's going away? Anyone else find this confusing?

Sweating usually indicates the fever is breaking, not necessarily a sign of having a fever.

Beti, jab fever aata hai toh pehle thandi lagti hai, aur jab utarta hai toh pasina aata hai. Yeh achha nishani hai ki sharir apni garmi chhod raha hai. Paani peete raho, sab theek ho jayega.
